Congratulations! After all your hard work, the event has finally taken place and you're probably feeling elated, relieved and exhausted all at the same time. But there are probably a few more things you need to do before you can finally put your feet up. Make sure to wrap your event up in style using our very simple check list below.

1. Send your money in

It doesn't matter if you've raised £50 or £5000 – every penny will make a huge difference to the lives of those living with and affected by dementia. Sending in your money is simple, it just depends on how you raised it.

If you used an online fundraising page...

If you've set up an online fundraising page, the money donated by your sponsors will automatically be sent to us - you don't have to do a thing! Just encourage as many people as you can to make a donation on your page.

Pay online...

To pay your money in online then use our secure online donation page here.

Pay by phone...

To pay your money in over the phone please call our Fundraising team on 0131 243 1453 and they will be happy to help.

Pay by post...

If you'd like to send your money in by post, please send your cheque, made payable to 'Alzheimer Scotland'. (If you'd like to support a specific project please state this.)

Please send everything to:
Alzheimer Scotland, Fundraising department
160 Dundee Street
Edinburgh. EH11 1DQ

2. Shout about your achievement!

You've come this far – wrap things up by telling the world! You should be so proud about what you've done so update any social media you have with photos, thank supporters and (if you're feeling energised) start planning your next fundraiser!

Tell us about your event

We love hearing from our supporters about their events. Send us your stories and photos to [email protected]

How your money helps

  • Our Freephone Dementia Helpline takes over 5,000 calls annually, providing information and emotional support to anyone who needs help. £15 will pay for us to send an information pack to a Helpline caller.

  • Our mobile information vehicles enable us to raise awareness of dementia and bring information on the condition and the support available to local communities. £25 pay for us to operate one of our mobile information vehicles for one day.

  • £100 will help us to continue our vital medical and social research into the causes of dementia, its early detection, and how it could be treated in the future.
